What is Respite Care?
Respite
care is temporary care provided by registered nurses, licensed practical
nurses or home health aides. Such care allows families to take a break
from the daily routine of care giving, while making sure that their
child is receiving proper attention.
Parents,
we currently have 40 hours of respite available from January through
the end of March. Please use our respite line when calling in
respite hours. Call our main number (215-977-8830) and then dial
extension 2403. You will then hear a recorded message directing
you to leave your child's name, date of respite, number of hours and
the name of the nurse providing the service.
Nurses,
if you are interested in becoming a respite provider, please read the
Reimbursement Guidelines for Respite Care below.
